We respect your personal data and ensure that the personal information provided to us or otherwise obtained is treated confidentially. Personal data refers to all information about a person. Data that indirectly refers to someone is also personal data. The following implements the information obligation laid down in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) to the data subject(s) whose personal data we process.
Controller and communication
ebl Keizers processes personal data in order to be able to offer legal services, to be able to improve these services and to be able to communicate personally with you as a data subject. We may engage third parties to evaluate our services. As a data subject, you are free to participate in this or not and to release your personal data for this purpose. You can also register to receive a newsletter or other communication expressions from ebl Keizers.
Purpose of processing personal data
We process the personal data mentioned below exclusively for the purposes mentioned below:
— providing legal services, including the execution of an agreement and conducting (legal) proceedings;
— handling bankruptcies and suspensions of payment;
— advice, mediation and referral;
— meeting our legal and statutory obligations;
— sending and collecting invoices;
— marketing and communication activities;
— recruitment and selection of employees.

Which personal data are processed?
ebl Keizers processes the following (types or categories of) personal data: first name/first names and surname, gender, date of birth, place of birth, address and contact details (telephone numbers, email address), financial data.
We process these personal data for the purpose of our services after they have been provided to us by you as a data subject on your own initiative or at our request, or after we have obtained them from third parties or via public sources in the context of our services.

Basis for processing personal data
ebl Keizers processes the above-mentioned personal data exclusively on the basis of the grounds referred to in Article 6 of the GDPR: legal obligation, performance of an agreement, obtained consent from the data subject(s), legitimate interest.

Sharing personal data with third parties
ebl Keizers only shares your personal data with third parties to the extent necessary for the provision of services and in compliance with the aforementioned purposes. This may include observation of the practice by another lawyer, (having) an expert investigation carried out or engaging another third party on behalf of and at the request of ebl Keizers, such as an IT supplier, but also providing your personal data in connection with (legal) proceedings or correspondence with the other party.
In addition, ebl Keizers may provide personal data to a third party, such as a supervisory authority or another body vested with public authority, to the extent that there is a legal obligation to do so.
A processing agreement is concluded with the third party that processes your personal data on behalf of and on the instructions of ebl Keizers, whereby that third party is also obliged to comply with the GDPR. Third parties engaged by ebl Keizers that offer services as a controller (such as an accountant or a notary) are themselves responsible for compliance with the GDPR for the (further) processing of your personal data.
ebl Keizers attaches great importance to the security and protection of your personal data and, taking into account the state of the art, ensures appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee a level of security that is appropriate to the risk. If we use services from third parties, such as an IT supplier, we record agreements on adequate security measures in a processing agreement in the context of the protection of personal data.

Security of personal data
ebl Keizers does not store personal data that is processed for longer than is necessary for the aforementioned purposes of the data processing or is required by law and regulations.

Privacy rights of data subjects
A request for access, correction, limitation, objection, transferability of data, deletion of your personal data or withdrawal of previously given consent, can be sent via the contact details below. You will receive further notice from us within four weeks of receipt of your request.
Circumstances may arise (such as the confidentiality obligation of lawyers or statutory retention periods) under which we comply with such a request.
You can send your requests as referred to above to office@ebl-keizers.com or to our postal address (ebl Keizers, P.O. Box 1040, 5602 BA Eindhoven).
In order to ensure that we provide the relevant personal data to the correct person based on your request, we ask you to submit a copy of a valid passport, driver’s license or identity card with a shielded passport photo and BSN number for verification purposes. ebl Keizers will only process requests that relate to your own personal data.

Use of social media
Our website contains buttons and links to promote or share web pages on social (media) networks or third-party websites, such as Twitter, Linkedin or Facebook. ebl Keizers does not monitor and is not responsible for the processing of your personal data by and via such third parties. The use of these media is therefore at your own risk. Before using these third-party services, it is advisable to first read the privacy statement of those third parties.

Statistics and cookies
ebl Keizers keeps track of usage data of the website for statistical purposes. The personal data collected in this way are in principle anonymous and are not sold by ebl Keizers to third parties.
In order to increase the user-friendliness of our website, we use so-called ‘cookies’. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer, tablet or smartphone during your visit to the ebl Keizers website. You can refuse the use of these cookies at any time, although this may limit the functionality and user-friendliness of our website.
Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics to, in general, track user behaviour and general trends and to obtain reports. This helps us to improve the functioning of the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. By using our website, you consent to the processing of the information by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above. Cookies are also placed through the use of buttons and/or links, as described above under `Use of social media’. ebl Keizers has no influence on the placement and use of cookies by these third parties.
